The current Malagasy authorized system was inherited from both the pre-colonial legal regime and the civil law traditions. Even after independence, the prevailing authorized system nonetheless reflects these earlier legal regimes. Both examples show the legal integration of the social code with the official regulation. Seek skilled authorized assistance and help – Strategic litigation is dear, time-consuming and infrequently requires the assistance of authorized professionals who are educated to conduct litigation. CSOs with out technical capability to advise on law reform may want to search pro bono legal assistance and recommendation from volunteers (e.g. law students or professors), private regulation companies and/or international NGOs that offer free law-reform advice. Raise awareness about present legal guidelines and rights in relation to the SDGs – CSOs should elevate awareness of existing laws and/or rights among residents, including how laws could positively or negatively impact the achievement of the SDGs. By elevating awareness, CSOs are more probably to achieve success in garnering support for legislation reform proposals.
